Quit Capper before deleting it.

A normal Quit gives Capper the chance to restore Caps Lock and stop its recovery helper.

  1. If you want to free the Polar device slot, open Settings and choose Deactivate This Mac.
  2. Remove Capper in System Settings → General → Login Items. The onboarding Done screen can also turn its request off before setup is completed.
  3. Choose Quit Capper from the menu-bar menu.
  4. Confirm Caps Lock behaves normally.
  5. Move Capper from Applications to the Trash.

If Capper did not quit cleanly

Reopen Capper so its recovery path can restore the mapping, then quit it normally. If that is not possible, restarting macOS clears the volatile keyboard remap.
